50 Cent’s “Power” Renewed For Second Season After One Episode

@50Cent #Power #STARZ – Starz has already given the green light to a 10-episode second season of the new drama Power.

The New York-set drama just premiered last week, starring Omari Hardwick as a nightclub owner by day and the kingpin of the most lucrative drug network in New York by night. Power comes from creator, showrunner, and executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh (The Good Wife) and fellow executive producers Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, David Knoller, and Randall Emmett, who will all return for the sophomore season.

“Power is a project extremely close to my heart and working with Chris Albrecht, Carmi Zlotnik and the Starz team has been the perfect fit for this,” 50 Cent said in a statement. “Viewers may be loving the start of season one now, but season two will blow them away.”

In addition to Hardwick, the cast includes Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton, and Joseph Sikora. Production is set to begin in and around New York in September.
