Lil Boosie’s Murder Trial Nears End With Closing Arguments

#FreeBoosie – The murder trial for 29-year-old rapper Lil Boosie, born Torence Hatch, has been underway in his hometown Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a week and closing arguments in the case began at 9:30am on Friday.

WAFB reports that Hatch’s defense attorneys rested their case on Thursday afternoon, making the decision to call no further witnesses. Defense lawyer Jason Williams cited their reason for resting the case as “based on the fact that the burden of proof lies with the state and based on the testimony of the state’s witnesses.”

Hatch is facing a first-degree murder charged, and is accused of hiring accomplice Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to kill 35-year-old Terry Boyd in his home back in 2009.

Earlier in the week Louding denied that he’d confessed to the murder of Boyd, saying that he was at Boosie’s house on the night of the crime, along with accused getaway driver Adrienne Pittman. Later a specialist was called to the stand to testify about the contents of Boosie’s computer.

Lil Boosie faces life in prison IF convicted.
