Rick Ross Announces 10th Album ‘Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill’

Rick Ross hosts the Rick Ross and Mr. Brainwash “Rather You Than Me” Album Listening Experience on March 8, 2017 in New York City.

As fans continue to digest Rick Ross’ ninth album Rather You Than Me, the Miami rapper is already piecing together his next release. During an interview with Papa Keith at 103.5 The Beat, Ross unveiled the title for his 10th album: Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill.

“My 10th album before I close out my 10th year will be Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill,” Ross says in the interview clip.

In 2006, Rick Ross released his first album, Port of Miami. Laced with hard-hitting anthems, including “Hustlin'” and “Blow,” Ross etched a lane in rap as an elite boss with his debut. Last year, he celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Port of Miami with a special concert powered by Tidal. During the festive event, Ross brought out several guests, including MMG cohorts Meek Mill and Wale.

Last week, Ross caused tremors on the rap front when he released his scathing record “Idols Become Rivals,” in which he candidly spoke about his contentious relationship with Birdman.

“You know, I just think it’s so f—ed up,” Ross recently told Billboard. “Us seeing Lil Wayne’s [situation] and suffering from that, I think we kind of all got used to it. I think the culture has f—ing accepted that Wayne would not put out another album. And that’s not the way the game [should be]. That’s not the way we designed this. That’s not the way this is supposed to be.”
