For those of you who are big on hip hop, you have probably come by the artist 2 Chainz/Titi boi. A great artist with a name that some find bizarre, creative, or even take offense to it. If you have ever wondered why he was named that you definitely wouldn’t be the only one. In fact 2 Chainz/Titi Boi gets this question all the time. The artist was brought up as a single child. Just like any other single child he was spoiled by his mother and babied, in a single phrase he was “breastfed.” So his mother called him Titty boy, his father called him Titty Man, and his friends called him Tit. When he started rapping it was only natural for him to continue with the name. As for being called 2 Chainz, the rapper says he always called himself that. When he was in school he has a year book photo with him wearing just that; two chains. Always having been big on jewelry it was normal for him. One day he made a song called “Dear Mr. LA Reid” and in the title it was written as Tity/2 Chainz and the name just stuck. Ironically these names he didn’t really choose for himself fit him perfectly.
