2016 Versus Now: Future

At the start of 2016, Future released his fourth studio album, Evol. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 100,000 copies sold in its first week. The Purple Reign Mixtape also received positive reviews and helped Future stay on track to his most successful year yet.

2017 has been a huge year for future. Future (2017) and Hndrxx (2017) all debuted at number one. The latter two made him the first artist to debut two albums in consecutive weeks at the top of the chart. There are rumors Future will be releasing another project next year to keep the hype going.

“Mask Off” was Future’s highest-charting single as a solo artist to date.
