#News – Rap artist, producer, songwriter, and entrepreneur extraordinaire Dr. Dre co-founder of the Beats audio devices, reportedly just purchased the Brentwood, Calif., estate belonging to NFL’s Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen for a mere $40 million. The mega-18,298-square-foot mansion, which had an original list price of $50 million, was built from scratch by the power couple who purchased the property for $11.75 million back in 2009, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The sprawling limestone- clad estate, set on four acres, reportedly has five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, seven fireplaces, a library, sweeping terraces, gym/sauna, massive infinity pool, golf course, open air galleries, and tons of other amenities. The home is reached by a winding driveway, and the picturesque draw of the Old-World-French-château-inspired home is its cobblestone motor court and an actual moat that is reminiscent of a castle in a fairytale, which is filled with obscenely expensive Koi fish. The eco-friendly estate’s electricity is supplied by solar panels.
Dre is the founder and chief executive of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics. The mega-computer software giant Apple recently announced it will pay the 49-year-old executive a whopping $3 billion to acquire Beats Music and Beats Electronics.
