There’s a lyrical sorcerer in our midst and her name is Chelsea Reject from the BK. The MC, who was formerly signed to Duck Down Records, introduces a chill track with a city slicker grind that chronicles the early rise and late night hustle of a woman with a dream. “Take one look in your eyes you don’t know my pain. Momma kicked me out the crib again, hard enough to be a citizen. I don’t know who to trust,” she raps, “…Try to make it out of my city, no luck. I wonder where is all of the money they bolst up. You see people out here starving, no love.” Her NY State of Mind spirit and Lil Kim street grittiness come together in a track that any hip hop fan can appreciate for its sheer sincerity and savviness. “If the shoe fits, and it’s your glove, like OJ I ain’t buckin,” she proudly boasts. No one best be killing this rapper’s vibrations. The song is off her upcoming EP, “This is Not My Final Form,” which will drop in early 2017.
