In addition to being an incredible game that probably ate up your entire weekend, Red Dead Redemption 2 quietly contains a new song from D’Angelo. While his name wasn’t announced among those who appear on the game’s official soundtrack (which features Yeezus producer Arca, saxophonist Colin Stetson and Queens of the Stone Age drummer Jon Theodore), gamers have spotted an original composition from the elusive crooner called “Unshaken” (full title: “May I? Standing Unshaken – Oh Traveller Have a Seat”) which can be heard between the “Paradise Mercifully Departed” and “Dear Uncle Tacitus” missions in Chapter 5 of the story.
If you haven’t got that far in the game, or have yet to lose your social life to Red Dead Redemption 2, you can hear it below. “Unshaken” is the first piece of new music we’ve heard from D’Angelo since 2014’s Black Messiah.
