Denzel Curry took to Instagram to deliver a cryptic video, appearing to tease new music. Featuring a gothic, nightmarish black and white circus, the video is full of very creepy Tim Burton-esque visuals. Starting with a sinister looking ringleader, the video pans out to a large crowd of comatose, tatted up fans, with the beanies and “clout goggles” made popular by the new age of Soundcloud rappers. Curry’s upcoming album will be titled Taboo, so it may be safe to assume that this cryptic video, captioned with only a clown face, may be related to the album somehow.
Curry is known for creating a dark and aggressive visual and musical aesthetic, and this teaser is no different. Fans know well how Curry has created a dark aura around him, with many of his album and single covers looking like horror movie posters, and many of his videos being eerie and black and white.
