DOOM & Adult Swim End ‘The Missing Notebook Rhymes’ Prematurely

At the beginning of August, DOOM and Adult Swim surprised and delighted fans by announced The Missing Notebook Rhymes, a series of tracks released every Tuesday that were archived tracks off an upcoming DOOM album or projects he’s featured on. Supposed to last for 15 weeks, all the 7 current songs have been released as of today.

The picture above shows the link to the project as of this morning. Later on today, the link now redirects you the Adult Swim Music main page.

Mass Appeal reached out for comment on what went wrong, to which they replied: “Adult Swim is ending our relationship with DOOM, and thus, the remaining Missing Notebook Rhymes will unfortunately have to remain…missing. We are glad to have had the chance to provide the previous free tracks to our fans.” It is unknown if the tracks will be released in the future.

This severing between Adult Swim and DOOM is especially interesting giving the two parties have worked together for years, including DOOM and Danger Mouse’s critically acclaimed DangerDoom project, which used samples and voice actors in character related to Adult Swim’s original programming at the time of its condition.

However frustrating it is to have new DOOM taken from you before you can appreciate it, he does magically stay in character: The Villain.
