Drake’s “God’s Plan” Debuts No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100

Drake has done it again, taking top spot on Billboard. The Toronto rapper’s new single “God’s Plan,” debuts No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Released along with “Diplomatic Immunity” as a part of the Scary Hours EP, “God’s Plan” dethrones Camila Cabello’s “Havana” featuring Young Thug, which earned its first week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart last week.

Produced by Yung Exclusive, Cardo and Boi-1da, “God’s Plan” is Drake’s second Hot 100 No. 1 song as a lead artist and fourth overall. It follows “One Dance” featuring WizKid and Kyla (2016), “Work” (with Rihanna, 2016), and “What’s My Name?” (with Rihanna, 2010).

The song was streamed over 14 million times in one day on Apple Music, setting record for most single-day streams worldwide. It also broke Spotify’s single-day streaming record in the U.S. on Jan. 22, at 4,326,679. Three days later, that record was broken again with 4,739,798 on Jan. 25.
