El Poeta: Revenge in the Dominican streets with “Poo”

Dominican rap veteran drops one on the streets in the Dembow style for this aggressive, grimy and braggadocious lyrical storm called “Poo”. Remember that we’re talking about latino street music right now and the word “Poo” which we all know the meaning of in English, is pronounced like “P-OH” in Spanish, and refers to the sound of a gunshot. This track is unique as it has an anti-establishment tone very critical of police conduct, which strays from the usual club/money/wealth themes of typical Dembow songs. El Poeta details his experience with corrupt cops and defiantly brags of disarming them by the end of the track. A joint for the block to empower the street soldiers, this one may not be a club banger, but it will be breaking local car and home stereos no question.
