Pitchfork and GoPro are proud to announce GP4K, a new video series captured exclusively with the GoPro HERO4 Black. The series premiere features Pittsburgh MC Mac Miller, who just released his latest album GO:OD AM. Director Eavvon O’Neal paired footage of the rapper with a crew of synchronized swimmers to create a bizarre, pool-based version of “Clubhouse”, recorded and filmed at Metropolitan Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Pitchfork used three unique camera rigs to capture the video, including one mounted to a Phantom 2 drone, which hovered over the swimmers. A Feiyu Handheld Gimbal + Floating Hand Grip and an anchored camera were also employed to capture the swimmers from multiple angles, including both above and below the surface.
Don’t miss the rest of the GP4K series, which will follow in the coming weeks and months. Each episode will feature a different artist and a unique visualization of their song.
