It’s that time of year again. Ghosts and goblins and gouls…oh my! If you’re like me, you don’t go all out on Halloween. You don’t spend hundreds of bucks on elaborate costumes. And if you’re also like me, you tend to fall into the “Halloween Inspired” category, meaning, you’d rather incorporate accents and accessories into your everyday work or play attire. One way of showing off at your Halloween work party is to wear your festiveness on your feet. Here are a few shoe designs I thought fit the spirit of the season:
For the Fellas
Vans Toy Story Collection
Sk8-Hi, Authentic and Slip-on styles
Range $65-$75
Preserves the dreams of our childhood with boldface men and womens designs, loveable squeaky aliens and of course, our favorite cowboy from the Wild West, Woody. The “Toy Story Authentic” shoe even includes an “ANDY” signature sprawled across the bottom of the shoe. I’m sure there will be a lot of Woodys and Buzz Light Years running around this Halloween and they will totally be jealous of you.
For the Ladies
Dolls Kill Platform Boots
Range $48-$91
Dolls Kill is known for their wacky sense of fashion. Think punky post apocalypse fairies and go go dancing club queens going to a rave. They design for music lovers, cybergoth chicks, and California dreamin´sand dwellers. Their designs could be worn out and about and then to a concert downtown. I will admit that some of their shoes are risqué, but who doesn´t like taking a risk every now and then. Check the websites for literally hundreds of different shoe styles, and Halloween boots at 70% off.
Check out their line of platform boots.
For the Kids
Nike Air Halloween Foamposites One
Range $180
I couldn´t write a Halloween post without sharing something with the kids. Nike just released this line of Halloween inspired footwear on the 15th. The candy corn stitching on the back and devilish jack o lantern grin at the heel is perfect for any youngster. The black base allows the orange and yellow design to really pop, and maybe even spook some unsuspecting folks on Halloween.
