Accomplished Hip Hop artist and Actress Natural Red’s star has been steadily on the rise throughout 2015 and straight into 2016. Leaving her home state Oklahoma a few years back to pursue her passion of being in the entertainment business, Natural Red moved to sunny Los Angeles and has been holding her own in Cali’s music scene since. She has made a permanent mark on the West Coast with many performances and collaborations with known and unknown artist. Her raw talent has allowed her to be embraced by the West Coast as one of their own, following in the footsteps of such artist as Lady of Rage, Kurupt and Tupac. She has even been featured in the UGG West Coast Female Cypher videos, which features legendary west coast female emcees such as, Sylk E. Fyne, Knehi (5Footaz), Big Chan (Doggy Angels), and Ms. Toi (You can do it). Natural Red has been spotted with such west coast legends as Snoop Dogg, Kurupt of Tha Dogg Pound, Bishop Don “Magic” Juan and most recently, in an acting role Natural Red played mother to a young “Kokane” – The King of G Funk and legendary hook master for Snoop Dogg and the Eastsidaz.
On April 27th Natural Red will be greeted by an array of hairstylists, makeup artists, set assistants, and camera crews, all ready to bring out the best in her eye-catching looks, ranging from hip hop to night out on the town when she joins The Starving Artists Project (Getty/Wire Images) for a photo shoot in a Mini Mansion in Los Angeles, for the Getty Images Website. Getty Images Senior Photographer/ Founder of The Starving Artist Project, Michael J Bezjian, and Tasia Wells, Producer/Photographer at The Starving Artist Project/Getty Images Photographer, will provide Natural Red with some truly arresting images, while media outlets Swagher & One West Magazine cover the shoot for their magazine features. This exciting shoot, which Natural Red describes as “one of the biggest shoots of her life”, is to help promote sizzling visual to her latest single “WIT’ IT”, another slapper released off of her upcoming CD “The Velvet Hammer”.
The project was directed by the legendary James Wade who’s directing credits include Snoop Dogg and The Outlaws just to name a few. This is the second song to be released off of her “WIT’ IT” Maxi-Single, which features 3 songs from her full length project, “The Velvet Hammer”, which has become one of the most anticipated releases from a female rapper in a long time. Natural Red drops the video to her latest track “WIT’ IT” as the follow up to her first release off the Maxi-Single, entitled “Dope Game”. Both of the tracks that she has released thus far have been nothing short of spectacular. The production provided by RoachKilla, combined with the lyrics provided by Natural Red, makes for an incredible collaboration.
