Given that he’s set to perform at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, it should come as no surprise that Justin Timberlake is returning with a new album in 2018. This morning, Timberlake announced that his fifth solo album, Man of the Woods, is dropping on February 2. The first single arrives this Friday, January 5.
To warm us up for his new project, Justin has released a minute-long trailer which, true to the album’s title, finds him roaming around in the wilderness. There are cameos from his wife, Jessica Biel, his two-year-old son, Silas Randall Timberlake, and Pharrell, who he’s been teasing a reunion with for a couple years now.
“This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family. But more so than any other album I’ve ever written, where I’m from,” the Memphis, TN native says in the trailer. “It’s personal.” Man on the Woods will serve as the follow up to 2013 and 2014’s two-part album The 20/20 Experience.
