Kanye West makes a triumphant return to Twitter. On Saturday (April 13), Yeezy reactivated his account and delivered another jab at Nike.
Pablo shared an article and claimed Nike’s Monarch Sneaker provided “YEEZY 700 VIBES.” He added the face palm, crying, and laughing emojis for emphasis.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey quoted the tweet and added: “Welcome back @kanyewest!” Yeezy liked and retweeted Jack’s post. Then he deleted his original tweet, but screenshots remain.

Kanye West also broke his long-held silence with a lengthy conversation about design for The Hollywood Reporter. Despite its design focus, the conversation trailed into some other topics, including news, movies, and philosophy.
“I’m writing a philosophy book right now called Break the Simulation,” he said. “And I’ve got this philosophy — or let’s say it’s just a concept because sometimes philosophy sounds too heavy-handed. I’ve got a concept about photographs, and I’m on the fence about photographs — about human beings being obsessed with photographs — because it takes you out of the now and transports you into the past or transports you into the future. It can be used to document, but a lot of times it overtakes [people]. People dwell too much in the memories.”
He also shared some insight into his home life with wife Kim Kardashian. “A designer told me that my wife was a master of light and I was a master of time,” he said. “How to use time is equal to being someone who can cut a diamond. The ability to preserve time is more valuable than the ability to preserve a diamond because time is our most valuable resource. So using something timeless to remind us of what time is, is a good bar.”
Plus, he addressed Virgil Abloh’s new role with Louis Vuitton: “It’s not bad or good, it’s my creative collaborator being the head of Louis Vuitton. (Laughs.) … [Abloh and I] have been fighting to make apparel at a certain price that still has the same credibility and desirability as something at a higher price. … But when they say he was my creative director, that’s incorrect. He was a creative collaborator.”
Yeezy is reportedly working on a solo album, a G.O.O.D. Music compilation, and a rumored joint project with Kid Cudi.
