Los Angeles police arrested comedian Katt Williams for allegedly endangering his four children by having guns and illegal drugs in his home (Dec. 28), authorities said.
Citing law enforcement sources who it did not identify, TMZ reported police picked Williams up at his home Friday after the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services determined the items in his home were a safety hazard for the children.
Williams was being held on $100,000 bail, TMZ reported. His children were placed in protective custody.
The sources told TMZ the case will go to the district attorney next week for possible felony child endangerment charges.
As Katt Williams left jail last night (Dec 28) after being locked up for gun-related child endangerment, he groused to us, “How do you keep kids safe without guns?”
Williams told us the guns were secured in a locked box, adding, “If the police come in and raid my place and break into my gun boxes, you’re gonna find guns! I’m not in a gang, what difference does it make?”
Katt also told our photog there were no drugs at his house — well … he admits there was weed, but says, “Weed is not a drug.”
