It looks like there more Bad News for Baton Rouge’s Kevin Gates after sources learned that Kevin Gates was sentence to 30 months in jail in Cook County in Illinois. They also confirmed that Kevin Gates pleaded guilty to the the Gun Charge in 2013. It looks bad for Kevin Gates for now but hopefully it doesn’t stop fans from getting more new music.
Gates appeared in court Wednesday, pleading guilty to a felony gun possession charge. Sources told TMZ Wednesday that Gates is expected to be transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Gates was denied bail at a Bridgeview Courthouse hearing earlier this month. Weeks earlier, Gates was close to being released from Polk County jail after his 6-month sentence for allegedly kicking a woman at one of his shows had been reduced. Once the weapons-related warrant was discovered, however, Gates was re-arrested and transferred to Illinois, only to then be denied bail.
