While most rap music enthusiasts were listening to Biggie Smalls and Tupac in 1997, on the West Side of Chicago’s Kevin Lavell was exiting the womb. 90’s baby,Kevin Lavell has entered the rap game with one definite thought in mind; using his voice as an instrument with an image that compliments his gritty and hard-hitting music.

From the young age of six, his mother knew that one day he would be able to work with music industry notables- such as Platinum Producer Zaytoven, and collaborating with Southern hit makers Rich Homie Quan and Young Dro. Formerly known as K-Town, Kevin Lavell took his early surroundings of the Chicago poverty and teen life in the suburbs of Illinois and began creating music that appealed to a broad and demanding demographic.

The 2015 fourth quarter leading single “Muscle” which features Young Dro, official debut in Atlanta during BET Hip Hop Awards weekend set up Kevin Lavell to make an appearance in front of the industry insiders that are currently making decisions of whose next. The major campaign behind the video shot by Ryan Synder gives urban media outlets a chance to see Kevin Lavell’s world in a creative way that expresses who he is from his signature pieces provided by famed stylist Talia Coles to the intensity he gives with each word.

Anxious to take his career to the next, 18 year old Kevin Lavell is optimistic as to what he has in restore for nation radio waves. What he’s playing in his headphones embodies who is as a recording artist; from Lauryn Hill to Future he has a good ear for music and can replicate signature classics to his ever-growing fan base.
