The 24 year old rapper/producer Kresnt (Hilal Dabir) has had a pretty stellar 2019 so far. His recently released debut album, “Rumi’s Reflection” which we featured here on True Mag debuted at #2 on the Canadian iTunes chart, and he’s just killed it at at the 420 Vancouver festival where there were over 100k people in attendance. It would seem what a better time then, to look back, take stock, and appreciate the journey he’s taken so far. Teaming up with 55x Grammy-nominated, 16x Grammy-winning producer/engineer, Ken Lewis (“Watch the Throne”, Future, EMINEM, Joyner Lucas, Jay-Z, Kanye West) “Remember Way Back” is the visual of Kresnt’s journey from an Afghan transplant in Vancouver to a respected, well-rounded rap artist holding his own. This isn’t the first time Kresnt has worked with Ken Lewis and we definitely hope this is a partnership that continues to grow.
