Miami, FL ~ To hear Florida MC O.Z. (Mr. 28 Grams) tell it, he was born at the top (Jacksonville) and raised by the bottom (Miami) enabling his sound to represent his state to the fullest. An artist since grade school, young O.Z. was lucky enough to possess both a gift for music and a wicked jump shot so although blessed with choices, music’s voice was the louder. So loud in fact that by the age of 13, he had become part of Trick Daddy’s camp. Although too young to obtain full benefit from the association, it wasn’t too long before another opportunity presented itself; becoming a member of Fat Joe’s Terror Squad. Far from jumpstarting his career though, O.Z. found himself in musical limbo; deciding instead to go it alone whilst maintaining close ties to his former label mates. Now 23, and with 5 full-length projects, including his upcoming solo release, “Room Full Of Pictures” under his belt, O.Z. keeps himself on the road and in the studio; a formula that that is definitely paying off. With the support of his current label, Fratt Boi Muzic Group, his arsenal of skilled producers and the guidance of the infamous Wendy Day, O.Z. will continue to carve out his own niche, this time on his own terms.
