MUSIC VIDEO: R.A. THE RUGGED MAN BARES HIS SOUL ON “STILL GET THROUGH THE DAY” FT. EAMON

Long Island, NY ~ When there’s a 10-year gap between your first and second albums and your second album still debuts at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, you can definitely claim bragging rights. Bragging, in fact, is one of the things this New York legend is best known for, and not without reason. His lyrical prowess is the stuff that legends are made of, his live shows are in demand worldwide, he gets love from A-list outlets like Vice, Complex, The Source and Village Voice and his YouTube views go on for miles. On this track though, R.A. The Rugged Man veers in a completely different direction; instead taking you on a very personal journey down a memory lane some might choose to forget. “Still Get Through The Day”, which also features the vocal stylings of the legendary Eamon, depicts the heartbreaking true story of the loss of R.A.’s handicapped siblings and Agent Orange-ravaged father and the personal struggles within his family. It is shot beautifully by Douglas Quill and although some may find parts of it difficult to watch, what strikes you is how this family sticks together with so many cards stacked against them.

“This is the most personal music video I’ve ever released. I put it all on the table with this one.” R.A. shares in an open letter he penned to fans. “This is not just a song about my family and my loved ones; I wrote it for everybody.  I hope the video is able to touch the world the way it touched everyone involved in making it.”

R.A.’s album, “Legends Never Die” is available on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/id635723749
