Multi-platinum producer Edrick Miles unveils the first songs of his own catalog with the melodic “Chill”, which premiered exclusively via Consequence of Sound.
The North Carolina songwriter/composer has gracefully joined the ranks of R&B creators, penning hit after hit for many of the genre’s biggest names, including Ty Dolla $ign, Kevin Gates, Joe Thomas. Most notably, Miles is the mastermind behind the multi-platinum Trey Songz and Nicki Minaj collaboration “Bottoms Up.”
During his studies at Winston-Salem University, Miles, the son of a disc-jockey and minister (Edward Miles), was discovered by Gerald Isaac. Isaac was known for his work with Mary J. Blige, Mario, Angie Stone, Joe Thomas and many other Grammy award-winning artists and caught wind of Miles’ innovative take on urban songwriting and production and young, natural talent.
Edrick Miles challenges all musical boundaries by etching his identity in today’s highly competitive market. His list of production and songwriting credits resembles a collage of music paintings of Hip-Hop, Pop and R&B that transforms organic musical textures to cater to the artist that he works with. His unique soul and pop-savvy style is flexible enough to transcend into many genres and eclectic musical formats.
Miles opens up this chapter of his own artistry after much success, accreditation and momentum in the music industry over the last decade. Earlier this year, he shared “New Clothes”, his first official single, and plans to release a dynamic debut album in 2018.
