Scantily clad women, blunts the size of Dikembe Mutombo’s middle finger and a drop top cruising the streets of Los Angeles. Sounds like summer right? Fresh off their first Billboard number one with their Fall Out Boy brethren, the Young Wolf Hatchlings return to centre stage to team up with Harlem’s next-in-charge, Slim Dollars, for the “Terry Richardson (Escalators)” video.
Coming a long way from the Treasonable Doubt project that dropped last year, Slim proves he can hold his own over a challenging moombahton beat laced with racing drums and screaming sirens. As a masked Terry Richardson parades around Los Angeles with models in tow, things just seem to get weirder and weirder. By the time the hook ends, your local ratchet committee is sure to be screaming along “Pretty girls go down like Escalators.”
No word yet on the imminent cease and desist letters from Terry’s lawyers but with his face front and center in mask-form for a good portion of the video, they can’t be far off.
