Nick Young & Iggy Azalea Confirm Break-up Via Social Media

After the infamous incident involving Los Angeles Lakers Nick Young a few months back, the couple announced their split.

Azalea and Young began dating in 2013 and engaged just two years later, in 2015.

A video, taped by teammate D’Angelo Russell, was leaked of Nick Young confessing to cheating on his former fiance. It appeared as if the two were working things, but “trust” played a huge factor in their split.

The young interracial couple faced their share of social media scrutiny but looked past the negative commentary. The Australian rapper has been accused of having a “blaccent,” appropriating black culture, and has had her share of backlash for calling herself a “slave master” in one of her songs. The rapper also had a public feud with Azalea Banks.

Not only has Azalea’s music career been questioned, but her interracial relationship as well. Social media have had positive, and its share of negative opinions on their relationship. Because she was accused of “trying to be black” her relationship was eyeballed heavily by the media.
