Rick Ross Cancels Los Angeles Show to Take More Time to Recover From Seizures

Rick Ross is taking some time to recover from two seizures he suffered last week and just announced that he won’t be appearing at a show in Los Angeles that was set for Sunday, October 23rd. The concert which was set to take place at Nokia Theatre with acts like Busta Rhymes,Y.G., Jayo Felony, Eric Bellinger, Pure and others has been pushed back to January 13th, 2012.

Ross was forced to pull out of a performance scheduled for tonight, Friday, October 21st, at Georgia State University as part of the school’s homecoming celebrations and previously cancelled a show in Memphis, Tennessee as well as a concert at Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina which was intended to be part of North Carolina A&T State University’s homecoming.

The Maybach Music Group CEO suffered two seizures on October 14th with the first occurring during a Delta flight that landed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He boarded a second flight the same day which was travelling from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis, Tennessee but the plane was forced to make an emergency landing when members of the rapper’s entourage noticed that Ross was unconscious and reported his condition to the plane’s staff. A doctor on board the flight administered CPR but the rapper had to be hospitalized when the plane landed.

Within a day of the rapper’s second seizure musicians travelling with Ross, including Wale and DJ Sam Sneaker, indicated that he had recovered, and photos of Ross standing with DJ Khaled outside a Wing Stop restaurant emerged that indicated he was in good health. “We truly want Rick Ross to be at 110% so that he is able to offer fans a once-in-a-lifetime show. His healthy recovery is our main concern, and we have worked with management to ensure the new date gives Rick Ross enough time to recoup,” said Tru Royalty Entertainment, one of the show’s promoters.
