Rick Ross Explains No Show At Supafest

#MMG – The Rick Ross world tour just hit a minor snag.Rozay’s camp just released a statement stating that the hefty Maybach Music Group CEO won’t be bringing his trademark grunt to the land down under.

Ross, on the steam of his widely popular mixtape, Rich Forever, was scheduled to headline Austrailia’s Supafest on April 14th in Brisbane, April 15th in Sydney, April 21st in Melbourne and April 22nd in Perth, but won’t be performing due to “unfulfilled contractual obligations.”

“Ross was looking forward to touching the people of Australia,” says a representative from Ross’ camp. “This event is one of biggest urban festivals in Australia and he is very disappointed that he will not be performing. It is unfortunate that the payment arrangements did not meet contractual deadlines.”

The Supafest has been in the news this week itself regarding other hip-hop stars. Both Diddy and Missy Elliott were billed as part of the performance when the stars gave their own explanations for backing out of the event.

Although rumors have been swirling about the Teflon Don’s health since he was a no-show for a scheduled performance at Bayou Music Center, formerly the Verizon Wireless Theater, last week in Houston (April 7) and the Easter Fest in Guyana at the Guyana National Stadium (April 9), there’s been no official word from the Bawse or his camp that he has in fact suffered another seizure.

On the night of the Houston concert, the promoters, Real Uprizing Productions, told audience members Ross suffered a seizure in the hotel and couldn’t make it to the venue. The Guyana show’s promoters released an official statement to ticketholders that the performance was nixed due to the MC’s health.

“Rick Ross’ management this evening informed management at Hits and Jams that the artist has suffered a medical emergency and has been ordered by his doctors not travel,” says Hits and Jams Entertainment.

However, according to sources close to Ross’ camp the Miami native is in great shape regarding his health and currently out on the road touring.

According to the Houston Press, the Bayou Music Center said the show will not be rescheduled and refunds will be available at point of purchase.

As for the Guyana show, Ross’ reps confirm that he will make up the canceled date.
