@Rihanna #GMA #RihannaNavy – Rihanna stopped by “Good Morning America” on Wednesday. Rocking a classic Chanel suit, the 25-year-old singer sat down with Robin Roberts to discuss her most recent Grammy win for Best Urban Contemporary Album for Unapologetic.
“I was so shocked,” said RiRi, who was at home when she heard the news from a friend. “It was quite an emotional moment, surprisingly. I was in shock, I’m excited. It was a good feeling to still be that excited at this point in my career.”
Rihanna, who is creative and philanthropic partners with MAC Cosmetics, has teamed up with the brand for a line of lipstick and lipglass, with all proceeds going to the MAC Aids Fund.
She hopes to raise $40 million while promoting safe sex amongst young people. “I want you to have fun—I love having fun—but you have to be responsible, you have to be safe. Protect yourself. You have to look out for yourself.”
In November, Rihanna received the inaugural Icon Award at the American Music Awards. “It is a very surreal feeling,” she said. “It’s almost like I can’t touch it. It was one of the those moments where I felt like I was dreaming. It didn’t feel real, it still doesn’t feel real because I feel like I still have so much more to do.”
“Now the pressure’s on. I have to live up to that and I have to keep making my fans proud.”
When asked if fans can expect new music, she said, “Of course,” adding, “Music is what I love to do, so you never have to worry about me not doing that. I love doing that.”
During her studio visit, she also posed for photos with her Rihanna Navy and the cast of “Full House.”
