PRhyme was a hip-hop head’s wet dream — not only because it brought together Royce da 5’9″ and DJ Premier for a full-length project, but for its guest verses from legendary MCs like Jay Electronica, MF DOOM and Black Thought. The upcoming sequel doesn’t look like it’ll disappoint, either.
Last night, Royce shared the tracklisting for PRhyme 2, which boasts appearances from 2 Chainz, Roc Marciano, Big K.R.I.T., Rapsody, Yelawolf, Cee-Lo Green, Dave East (“Era“) and more. The 17-song project is, of course, produced entirely by DJ Premier, who uses AntMan Wonder’s catalog as his sole source for samples (the first PRhyme album flipped Adrian Younge’s compositions). PRhyme 2 drops March 16.
