Scruncho is Making an Encore Performance of His Acclaimed Solo Show “All I Needed Was a Hug”

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 28, 2018)— Bonafide comedian and actor Scruncho is coming to the Hudson Theater for his “All I Needed Was A Hug” one man show produced by Emmy Award-winning media maven Sherri Shepherd, and Pamela Azmi- Andrew. Hailed by Vibe Magazine as “King of the Underground,” Actor-Comedian-Thought Gangsta SCRUNCHO has mesmerized audiences around the country with his raw brand of street-conscious humor since 1996. Born Anthony McKinley, the self-proclaimed “black sheep of the family” made his unorthodox stage debut when he ran into a comedy club, jumped on stage, and pretended to be a comedian in an attempt to avoid the police who were hot on his heels. To his surprise, he actually got laughs.

Shifting his focus from the ‘hood to Hollywood, Scruncho quickly became known for his energetic, mile-a-second delivery, and a larger-than-life stage persona, transforming the Long Beach native into one of stand-up’s most riveting headliners.
