The Dominican Mash-Hop Master

Love it or hate it, out here in the Dominican Republic artists crossover from genre to genre, sometimes on the same album, even on the same track! El Nene Amenaza is a perfect example. His style is officially classified as Dominican-Bori-Trap-Hiphop, for it’s elements of Dembow, Reggaeton and even Merengue influence to create his style which he terms as simply “sin categoria” (no category). You can judge for yourself with by listening to the track which undoubtedly has the streets on smash with no signs of letting up. It’s called  “Mujeriego”, a laid back song with a smooth reggae influence and a hook that will stay in your head for a long while. The smash success of the track has put this kid on top of the pile in the Dominican scene. With it’s popularity out here, it would be no surprise that once discovered by those searching for the new angle, that an English remix may be on the horizon!
