A true who’s who of collabs, Brooklyn-bred beatmaker J. Period brings to us ‘The RISE UP Project’. The 10 track feature brings together the likes of Xzibit, Jesse Williams, Aloe Blacc, Andra DayR Black Thought, and Rhymefest among others.
This Rise Up Project follows up on last year’s ‘The Live Mixtapes’ and the bar has definitely been raised. Working on mixtape collaborations with all of, Q-Tip, John Legend, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, and Lauryn Hill, here again J. Period proves why he’s one of the best in the game.
On the project, J. Period says; “For two years, we’ve been on a mission to bring artists together across the country to inspire all-star collaborations, dynamic performances, and honest conversations… through music,” To put it simply, the beatmaker confirms: “Today, we raise the bar.”
