Ty Dolla Sign Indicted for Cocaine Possession, Faces Up to 15 Years in Prison

Ty Dolla $ign enjoyed a busy 2018, dropping an album with Jeremih and being in-demand appearance on huge projects from the likes of Drake, Nas, Kanye West and more. The musician’s exciting year appears to be ending off on a bad note, with some legal issues. TMZ reports the L.A. native has been indicted by a grand jury on drug charges that include felony possession of cocaine.

According to court documents, Ty Dolla Sign is charged on 3 counts — felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of THC and misdemeanor possession of less than 1 ounce of weed.
The charges stem from an arrest in Fulton County, GA, for possessing cocaine and marijuana back in September.

If convicted, the 33-year-old (real name Tyrone William Griffin Jr.) could face up to 15 years in prison. Drug laws in the state of Georgia are stiffer than California. Skrillex, who was with Ty Dolla Sign at the time of the arrest, was empty handed as their limo van was searched by local authorities.
