Aviant RedZ is a reflective and introspective emcee from South Florida. The dynamic wordsmith has an uncanny ability to connect with his listeners in a way that very few aspiring artists can. His music is colossal and international in scope. The versatile rapper writes songs that are personal and endearing.
Aviant Redz recently dropped a captivating musical short film entitled “Kimberly.” It’s a very thought provoking piece of work on a controversial and taboo subject. “Kimberly” is a modern day “Brenda’s Got A Baby.” The song and the visuals were inspired by the story of a girl he knew in middle school who was a victim of her step dad’s sexual molestation. The song itself is explosive. The lyrics are deep and soul piercing.
Aviant Redz wanted to share this story from his point of view. He wanted to express his thoughts and perception on the topic. “I’ve known many Kimberlys. She is not just one person. She is one in six women across America. Kimberly is your kindergarten teacher, your sister, your cousin, your girlfriend. She may even be your own mother. Growing up, I wasn’t thoroughly taught about consent and the ins and outs of male entitlement,” raves the rapper. Follow Aviant RedZ on Twitter @AviantRedz .
