Compton’s AD finished off 2017 with the release of his underrated Blue 89 C2, which featured appearances from Busta Rhymes, Wiz Khalifa, RJ & Maxo Kream. If you like West Coast hip-hop, it’s a project you should definitely check out; in fact, the album even opens with a co-sign from none other than Kendrick Lamar. And while it’s been less than a month since AD’s latest dropped, he’s already back with another banger, the Lettuce By The Pound produced “I Ain’t Playin’.” And no, this isn’t an album b-side. AD makes references to 2018 throughout the cut, sliding effortlessly over airy synths and g-funk bass synths.
If you were feeling this one, be sure to check out Blue 89 C2.
