Drake Replaces Himself at #1 on Billboard

Drake’s In My Feelings has replaced Nice For What at the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Last week the song was at #6, but thanks to a (very) viral dance challenge, it climbed to #1 quickly. Started as the #DoTheShiggy, started by comedian Shiggy, the challenge quickly reached a large and noteworthy audience. Big names participated, like Will Smith, Ciara, and even politicians have been doing the challenge.

This marks Drake’s 6th #1 song, passing Diddy, Eminem, and Ludacris to be the rapper with the most chart topping songs. It also marks Drake’s 3rd #1 song this year, with Nice For What and God’s Plan previously holding the top spot. He also joins Justin Bieber, Usher, and The Beatles as the only ones to ever replace themselves at #1 twice. Scorpion is proving to be Drake’s most commercially successful album (partly due to the amount of tracks, inflating the numbers), but nonetheless it is definitely going to end as one of the most successful hip hop albums of all time.
