From Beyond the Grave: Phife Dawg’s NEW single Prod. by Dilla

On the heels of the new Tribe album which was confirmed by Q-Tip last week, the heads gotta be reminded that the late 5 footer also has a solo joint on the way. The single bangin’ right now is  “Nutshell” produced by the late J Dilla, and it bangs HARD. A traditional boom bap lyrical stompfest awaits lucky listeners tired of the autotune and 808’s that plague the playlists as of late. This is a real deal Hiphop joint for the heads that the game is really starting to miss. Not just for the old cats though, this track might be able to take a few new school converts along for the ride, with a hard streetwise delivery without any drugs, guns or gangs to justify the attitude. Although Phife and Dilla are gone in the physical, their legacy will live on in their incredible music. It’s gonna be joints like this that bring the real Hiphop back. As if it ever left in the first place!
