Gucci Mane Granted $75,000 Bond & Put On House Arrest In Assault Case

@Gucci1017 #BSM #Bricksquad – A Judge has set a $75,000 bond for Atlanta Rapper Gucci Mane & also ordered to be placed on house arrest Wednesday.

The rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, allegedly hit a soldier in the head with a champagne bottle in March while at an Atlanta night club.
He is restricted to leaving his home only for work-related travel, both locally and outside of the metro Atlanta area, his attorney, Drew Findling, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“The most important thing is that he be able to meet his contractual obligations,” Findling said, referring to concerts, studio time or any appearances related to his career and the recording label to which he is signed.
The alleged victim was trying to get a picture with the rap star, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Davis, 33, was charged with aggravated assault.

Davis appeared in a Fulton County courtroom Wednesday for a bond hearing. Findling said he questioned the alleged victim’s story, calling the accusation “suspicious.”
“The evidence continues to just be only the victim’s statement,” Findling said. “In these days if somebody makes an epically prejudicial statement … or commits a violent act, it’s all over YouTube before you can pronounce YouTube. But nothing surfaced in a week after the incident.”

According to court officials, Davis was granted $75,000 bond and must remain on 24-hour curfew at home, wear an ankle monitoring device and submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

He was also forced to give up his passport and must request court permission for any travel and stay away the alleged victim and any witnesses.
Davis was still being held at the Fulton County Jail late Wednesday afternoon, according to jail records, and is awaiting a hold from DeKalb County for unrelated charges.
He has been arrested more than a dozen times since his rise to popularity, on charges ranging from reckless driving to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Most notably, Davis was charged with murder in 2005, but charges were dropped.
