Take a moment wit Anonamous

Tell us whats behind the name Anonamous? Why did you take that on? 

The name was Based off my childhood… I never really stood out, I was always over looked when it came to anything I did…. People always said I was a difficult person to read when it came to my emotions, cause I would always keep a straight face and wouldn’t really smile. I was never really confident about self, so I found somethen I love to do which is (MUISC) And had to create a name, which I choose Anonamous…

Did you expect the track “One Nite” to explode like it did? What do you think caught on people about with this song?

I did…I felt Its music that compliments everybody…. it’s very catchy as well, it caught fire when I started promoting it on The Anonamous life PT1 Tour… I realized the reaction I was getting from it… So We made it the upcoming single and it just took off from there.

What is your recording process like? Do you like to hear the beat first and write specifically to it or do you have rhymes that you match with songs? 

I let to meditate with the Beat first, if it makes any sense (laughs)… I always study the ends and out of the beat before I write to the track… Don’t like to put old versus to a new project… I’d like to keep creating new Concepts for a different feel… I have a big Mind (laughs).

What do you think are the biggest challenges that artists from Ohio face when entering the industry?

Not knowing the structure of the business. Most artists bypass the small steps… To Attempt to make a big leap… thinking they gone Take off but it don’t work that way you can’t neglect the footwork got to build a support system and be dedicated everyday to make it possible and with the internet most artist become lazy not realizing the work load that they truly have

The industry has changed so much within the last few years, what do you call success as a rapper? What goals or accolades make success?

Success as a rapper is believing in your self-worth… Separating yourself from common trend to build your own legacy…. When I was a kid, I put all my goals down on a piece of paper. I knew it would take major discipline to captured my ultimate goal… To defeat the struggle and become something great… So for me it’s discipline, motivation, and consistency. You are your own unlimited Force, you control your life.

A few major labels were after you after his single, what is the determining factor in whether you sign with a label or not?

For me it’s any direction God presents into my life when it come to that I work so hard at what I do… If it’s a label or not I appreciate it regardless… What’s most important to me is my happiness…. I’ll be happy either way.

What have been your biggest lessons on the Anonamous Life Tour so far? 

The dedication and loyalty you got to have when it come to investing in your caft… Being consistent and growing your fanbase… Standing out being different… it takes a lot work and grind to do something like this… You have to be willing to put it all on the line for what you love with no fear.

Do you think that social issues have a place in hip hop? How do you think music can help with social issues? 

It all depends on The Timing and character that he or she presents to the game… music is always a good out let to explain your story… But in a positive way, It’s always someone out there that can relate.

What artists do you think had the most influence on your sound?

Honestly, I didn’t even like rap when I first started, I Blossom late… I was an R&B dude (laughs)… love to sing but never had a voice…. But I did listen too fabulous, Eminem, LiL Zan, PAC and a few others. But never had a favorite.
