TRUE Magazine has always been on top of the predictions on whose hot and who’s not. This year we are taking the step in announcing the Grammy’s Album of the Year award because we all know its political when winning. We all know Adele did her thing and Justin Bieber, Strugill Simpson did what they were supposed to. But the other two Drake & Beyonce have owned multiple sides of the charts. To narrow it down “B” is “B”… No one artists can do what she has done over all for music as a female in RnB – Pop etc. Drake on the other had keeps his name and image on the airwaves with hits after hits after hits. Over his career Drake has 64 awards from 304 nominations over all. 26 of them have been 26 Grammy nominations with only 1 win. So, it’s only right that they give it to him.
Views Drakes 4th studio album ruled billboard 200 for weeks it is the biggest-selling album released in 2016 (1.3 million copies sold in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music, dating to its May release). Some of the critic didn’t like the album and received some mixed views because it sounded like a overlong retread of previous work.
His single “One Dance” became Drake’s first number-one single in 10 countries as the lead artist, including Australia, Canada, the UK and the US and a remarkable 1.5 million copies of the album was sold in-a-time when people only stream and buy singles. Also, is the first album to accumulate one-billion streams on Apple Music. So why deny it.
No matter what those guys and ladies on the Grammy committee do, in our eyes Drake will continue to push the envelope on music and content but it would be nice to see someone who earned it win! – IronPEN
