Cardi B Makes History Once More

Cardi B becomes the third artist in history to have their first three commercial singles chart in Billboard’s Top 10

 

Cardi B cannot be stopped. After an incredible glow up in 2017, it was announced by Billboard yesterday that she has joined Ashanti and The Beatles as the only artists to have their first three singles appear on Top 10 simultaneously. G-Eazy’s ‘No Limit’ and Migos’s ‘MotorSport,’ which she features on have peaked at #4 and #6 respectively, as well as her solo single ‘Bodak Yellow’ sat comfortably at #1 on the charts for three straight weeks.

 

In addition, The Bronx native’s newest single ‘Bartier Cardi’ featuring 21 Savage debuted at #14 on the charts. This all on the heels of her being the first solo female Hip Hop artist to chart at #1 since 1999, since Ms. Lauryn Hill. If this continues, there will be seldom a conversation in Hip Hop that doesn’t include Cardi B by this time next year.
