Seven Grime Artists You Should Know Now
Grime is very underrepresented in American culture. Ever since Dizzee Rascal’s debut album, Boy in da Corner, there have been a few rap artists that have weakly been introduced in the United States. With the exception of Skepta, not many recently have broke into any real mainstream success or acclaim. The internet has made these artists more accessible, and with the popularity of the trap and post-trap production styles, Roll Rap, which adopts the aforementioned styles into their own idiosyncratic beat style, has sprang up and given new life into the UK Hip Hop scene. Below are some artists that I’ve been gravitating to. For more Grime artists follow GRM Daily on Youtube and SoundCloud, as well as Link Up TV on Youtube and SoundCloud.
I could sit here all day and talk each artist up, but let’s let their music speak for itself.
