A Tribe Called Quest and Vans have collaborated for a high-top sneaker. How dope is that?
They announced the collaboration on Instagram a week ago with a picture of the kicks. They named it “Bonita” after their hit song. The song “Bonita” released on July 5th in 1990 and it is still considered a favorite. They gave a sneak peak of the shoe not only on their Instagram but planned to show it off at ComplexCon as well. The Bonita Sk8-hi’s are a suede cream colored with white laces and other white accents. On the side of the shoe is stamped “Bonita Applebum” in black writing.
The look of it has the silhouette of the classic Sk8-hi but in a pastel color-scheme. It can be paired with distressed jean shorts, joggers, jeans, hoodies, tees, leather jackets, the list goes on. The best part about this look is that it caters to a urban street look as well as a skater look. It is perfect for the Spring time which is when it will be released.
